My Clinical Experience

As well as working in private practice, I work as a psychotherapist with a Psychology and Psychotherapy Team in an NHS Mental Health Service. I have worked with a number of NHS adult mental health services and with clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including:


  •        Relationship difficulties

  •        Parenting difficulties

  •        Loss and major bereavement

  •        Trauma

  •        Physical and sexual abuse

  •        Neglect and self neglect

  •        Severe and long term physical health problems

  •        Learning difficulties

  •        Personality Disorders

  •        Offenders in secure treatment settings

  •        Gender identity difficulties

  • I have experience in team and individual consultancy and in planning and developing consultancy services. My private psychotherapy practice is firmly rooted in clinical evidence supported by extensive theoretical knowledge and research experience.

1The key to successful therapy is finding the right therapist for you. However good, knowledgeable or experienced a therapist is, it is the relationship between the two of you that determines whether you trust them enough, and they come to understand you enough, to help you explore and find solutions for your problem.

MY TRAINING AND ACCREDITATION

2I have trained as a Dramatherapist, a Dialectical Behaviour Therapist and I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Practitioner. I am registered with the Health Professions Council, a full member of the British Association of Dramatherapists and of the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy.
